Crusher Sound Enclosure
粉碎机隔音罩 中文页
The Crusher Sound Enclosure is a custom-built integrated noise insulation shell designed for fine-crushing equipment, including hammer mill crushers, claw-type crushers, tooth-claw crushers, and various high-speed grinding and pulverizing machines. The steel modular enclosure fully wraps the main unit, feed/discharge openings, and drive components. Outer panels are electrostatically powder-coated galvanized steel; inner lining combines perforated steel sheets with an 80mm glass fiber cotton sound-absorbing layer (density 48kg/m³, NRC≥0.85). Tailored to the high RPM, impact noise, and aerodynamic broadband noise typical of crushing equipment, the enclosure features sound-attenuating inlet/outlet ducts, ventilative sound baffles, and hinged maintenance access doors. Measured overall noise reduction at identical test points before and after installation reaches 20–30dB(A). Widely applied in feed processing, chemical, grain handling, and recycling facilities for occupational noise control and regulatory compliance at site boundaries. Quoted on a project basis — provide equipment model, outline dimensions, and layout drawing for a detailed quotation.

About This Product
Noise Characteristics of Crushers: Impact Sound Combined with Airflow Noise
Crushers differ from coarse-crushing equipment: they operate at high speeds with high-frequency hammer or claw impacts on material. The noise near the machine is not only impact sound from the material but also superimposed aerodynamic noise from the fan and airflow. Sound pressure levels 1 meter from the machine typically reach 95–110dB(A), concentrated in the mid-to-high frequency range — harsh, piercing, and far-reaching. In feed mills, chemical workshops, and recycling facilities, crushing stations are often adjacent to office areas or residential zones. On-site levels exceeding 85dB(A) already breach occupational noise limits, and boundary noise must be reduced further at night. The solution is an integrated soundproof enclosure: a steel plate shell blocks direct sound, a thick sound-absorbing layer suppresses internal reverberation, and all material inlets, outlets, ventilation, and maintenance access pass through silencer channels — the equipment runs normally while noise remains contained.
Enclosure Structure: Compact Machines, Lighter Enclosures
Compared to heavy-duty crusher enclosures used in mining, crushers generate smaller vibration and impact loads, allowing for a lightweight enclosure configuration: a steel frame clad with 1.5~2.5mm galvanized steel panels, inner perforated metal facing filled with 80mm centrifugal glass wool, bolted panel joints with sealed gasket strips. The enclosure does not require a foundation and can be repositioned as a whole, making it ideal for workshop layout adjustments and equipment relocation. For space-constrained workshops, the enclosure can be mounted against walls or span across equipment; layout drawings are produced based on on-site dimensions during the proposal phase. Food and pharmaceutical-grade workshops may opt for stainless steel liners and easy-clean surface layers for thorough washing and maintenance.
Inlet & Outlet Channels: Customized to Feeding Method
Crusher feeding and discharging methods vary widely — screw feeders, belt conveyors, pneumatic transport, manual bag changing — and these openings are precisely what the soundproof enclosure must not seal off. We customize each opening according to your actual process: silencer sleeves with flexible seals at pipeline penetration points prevent sound escape while ensuring uninterrupted material flow; manual bag- and drum-changing positions are fitted with sound-dampening soft curtain doors for convenient access, suppressing short-duration noise during operation. The entire feeding and discharging process remains unchanged after enclosure installation.
Ventilation, Heat Dissipation & Operator Workstation
The main motor and integrated fan of the crusher run continuously, generating concentrated heat. Soundproof louvers with silencer baffles are installed at motor and fan locations, sized according to heat dissipation requirements and allowable temperature rise inside the enclosure to prevent summer overheating and tripping. Electrical cable penetrations are fitted with silencer sleeves and sealed to eliminate leakage paths. Outside the enclosure, an isolated observation and operation workstation can be provided so operators can inspect equipment externally while enjoying improved noise conditions at their post.
Quotation & Delivery
Pricing is calculated based on enclosure panel area, ranging from 600~1500 /m², inclusive of inlet/outlet silencer channels, maintenance access, and observation windows. Simply provide the crusher model, external dimensions, and workshop layout (hand-drawn sketches with measurements are acceptable), and we will deliver a proposal with a detailed quotation on the same day. Crusher enclosures are mainly available in small-to-medium sizes, with a standard production lead time of 7~15 days. Panels are palletized and shipped via logistics; on-site assembly is required, and we can arrange installation guidance. Each shipment is accompanied by material certificates and factory inspection reports, with photos recorded for each piece before loading.
Crusher Sound Enclosure — Frequently Asked Questions
The questions buyers ask most often about this product before placing an order.
How much noise reduction can the crusher sound enclosure achieve?
Depending on equipment model and enclosure configuration, measured overall noise reduction at identical test points before and after installation is 20–30dB(A). Workshop operator positions typically drop from above 95dB(A) to 75–80dB(A). Night-time boundary compliance is routinely achieved when combined with other site-wide measures. Noise predictions are provided during the proposal stage.
We use pneumatic conveying for feeding — how is the enclosure adapted?
Conveying pipelines penetrate the enclosure through sound-attenuating sleeves with flexible seals — material flows through normally while noise is contained. Screw feeders and belt feeders are treated identically and customized per project. Simply specify your feeding method when ordering; all penetration details will be annotated on the layout drawing.
We replace hammers and sieves frequently — won't the enclosure get in the way?
Not at all. The enclosure incorporates hinged maintenance access panels precisely at hammer-replacement and sieve-changing locations. They open locally for service and close back to full seal afterward, without affecting overall acoustic performance. Access panel positions are confirmed item-by-item with you during the proposal phase, aligned to your maintenance procedures.
Will the enclosure affect equipment heat dissipation?
No. Acoustic louver vents are provided at motor and fan locations, with free area calculated from the equipment's heat load and the maximum allowable temperature rise inside the enclosure. For high-ambient summer conditions we perform an additional thermal review, and for multiple units in the same space we evaluate ventilation holistically across the entire workshop.
Our workshop is compact — can the enclosure be wall-mounted or straddle-mounted over the equipment?
Yes. Crusher enclosures are predominantly compact-sized and support wall-hugging layouts as well as straddle mounting directly over the equipment. No separate foundation is required and the entire unit can be repositioned if needed. Provide a workshop floor plan and equipment layout (hand sketch is acceptable) and we will produce a placement方案.
How is pricing calculated, and what is the lead time?
Pricing is based on enclosure developed area at ¥600–1,500/m², inclusive of sound-attenuating inlet/outlet ducts, maintenance doors, and observation windows. Standard sizes have a production lead time of 7–15 days. Panels are palletized and shipped via logistics; on-site assembly follows, and we can dispatch a technician for installation guidance.
Our workshop also has noisy bucket elevators and mixers — can they be addressed together?
Absolutely. Crusher workstations often coexist with multiple noise sources. We offer integrated multi-source noise control services: first we measure the contribution of each source, then define the treatment sequence and combined solution to ensure neither the workspace nor the site boundary fails compliance after isolated treatments.
